Self-discipline and God

Its very hard to do what is right. More often than not, we find ourselves torn between battles of conscience and almost always, make the wrong choice. Many people say self-discipline is the key, and those many people are right. There’s really nothing more that holds you back from doing what you know is wrong. Not even your parent’s teachings (God knows how many times we’v debunked that), or even your spiritual teachings. Ohhhhh yeaaa, i said spiritual. The alarming rate with which acclaimed believers do WHAT JESUS WOULD NOT DO, is disheartening. I do not exempt myself from this accusation. In the end, no one is perfect. It is our ability to rationally choose what is morally right inspite of the many many many many many temptations, and our level of self-discipline that inches us closer to the type of perfection we strive for. My point? A bad thing usually feels right, but that it feels right does not mean you should encourage it. If you feel you dont have control over it well enough to resist the temptation, find soneone who will help foster your strenght and pray. Prayer does a lot of things, especially the things you dont expect it to do. So pray, that He leads you aright, because if all else fails, He is your strenghtImage
