THE SINGLE LIFE

Okay so Ive got some new stuff for y’all, well i wont exactly say new because i would expect this is stuff you know and have heard before so, yeah, not so new. However, i realized that there is a need for the repetition and emphasis of this free advice to all that matter and care. Ladies.

Kisses. Make-out partners. Bragging rights. Goodnight messages. Good-morning messages, and so on and so unnecessary things, are the only things that I would say you can only get from a boyfriend, or lover as the case may be. That’s not all, you say. Oh but it is, it is all. What else? Money? Make your own. Love? Love yourself enough to feel loved. Attention? Dress up like you own the freaking show, go to a movie and count how many pair of eyes will be on the single lady that just walked into the mall.

Lets not get confused here, I am not against relationships. Love is a beautiful thing and finding someone to share it with is even more beautiful. It would seem however that women of this century rely on nothing else but the love, attention and commitment of a man. It has almost become a survival instinct. So, I wont even delve into whether or not relationships are right or not. my advice is for the ladies that aren’t in relationships and are in a state of limbo, somewhat.

Darling, who says you cant be happy without a man in your life. Who says his money can cater for you? I personally despise women who limit the expenses of their lifestyles to their boyfriend’s pocket. I would like to believe I need to spend much more than any boyfriend wants to give me, so I understand the need to work my ass off for the pay that suits me. Some women are content with the physical ass-working(if ya know what i mean) to get the pay that is given to them. chai! there is God o! (takes a bite of sharwarma). Oh yeah, that’s what my credible financial ass-working affords me; sharwarma in the middle of a hot Thursday. i don’t have to wait for one boyfriend to collect his salary at the end of the month just to receive two percent from the lot.

i know it seems impossible to live like you have a partner when you indeed don’t, but be rest assured love, it is! Ive been doing it for over a year now and its been going great. Im living a single life, and Im loving it! Although, not for long i think. See, the thing is , I met this guy ehn, if you see his eyes, his lips, his smile, his….*coughs. biko no vex, back to the matter. I wont call them tips. i just hate the word. tips. ewww. tips.ewwwww tips. ewwwwwwww, okay you get the point. i also hate the word point. ewwww. okay let me just stop. i sha have a couple of ideas to help you live that life, that single life.

1. be your own partner: live your life as if it were your own. do things that you would do with your boyfriend with yourself, except for the making out part, and the kissing part, you sha understand abi.

2. treat yourself to something nice like your supposed boyfriend would’ve: go to the mall, see a movie, buy yourself something nice, regularly. do crazy stuff.

3: get noticed: i know this sounds crazy, but some guys are blind and they need to see. i do not mean you need to show unnecessary parts of your body, but look good. look noticeable. be approachable. be noticed

4. don’t forget to mingle: society has a way of moving so fast we never know we have been left behind. keep in touch. stay in tune. don’t be introversial, because although you may be content in your own tiny bubble, when you do decide to get out, no one will be there to ask for gist.

5. do EXACTLY what you want to do, when you want to do it: be forward, not too forward but forward enough. getting out of your bubble may happen regularly or after a period of time. if you happen to see a carbon copy of say, ramsey nouah, or desmond elliot, biko pop that bubble o. my point, if you see someone you like and he’s not making a move. go ahead and say hi. he’ll definitely ay hi back. unless his girlfriend comes, then runnnnnnn!

stay happy. be happy. toodles

  1. I was married for 18 months and I’ve been divorced for about 4 months now and I must say it’s good to be me again. I know I don’t need any man to feel complete
